Cedrus atlantica

FAMILY Pinaceae (Pine Family)
DESCRIPTION Atlas cedar is an evergreen conifer native to the Atlas Mountains of northern Africa. This gorgeous tree displays a loose pyramidal form with ascending tiers of layered branching and silvery, blue-green needles. Atlas cedar is useful in urban conditions because it is more tolerant to hot, dry conditions than most other conifers. Their leaves are arranged in small rosettes along the tree's branches and twigs, a feature typical of the true cedars.

Full sun; Average water requirements.
